Binyon, Laurence (Poet, b.1869 - d.1943)
Description
Collection consists of a handwritten verse (more commonly known as the 'Ode of Remembrance') from the poem 'For the Fallen' by English poet Laurence Binyon. Binyon wrote the lines out and sent them to his friend Cliff Raymond in 1939. They handwritten lines were then gifted by Cliff Raymond to another friend, Alfred Simpson Chapman, in 1940.
