Collection relating to the service of Adrian William Wright
Description
Studio portrait of 4352 Adrian William (Ady) Wright, 13th Battalion, later Extra Regimental Sergeant with the Army Pay Corps. Original note on verso reads: "London/ 22/2/17./ Dearest Mum,/ Am sending you 3/ photos. One "bust" without/ hat on, another a 3/4 / long p. card and this/ one. Each in a/ separate envelope./ This is the worst of the/ three. Best love/ Ady." 4352 Adrian Wright enlisted on 2 September 1915 and returned to Australia on 2 March 1919. He later served in the Second World War with the number N65754 from October 1939 to June 1945, with his final posting in the District Accounts Office NSW.
