Hand coloured studio portrait of NX35866 Private (Pte) Gordon Poole from Yenda, New South Wales. Pte Poole enlisted in June 1940 and served in the Pacific with the 2/20 Battalion. He was captured by Japanese forces at Singapore in February 1942 and died whilst a prisoner of war (POW) on 1 October 1944.
