Studio portrait of NX5726 Private (Pte) Athol Russell Mudie Grimison of Deniliquin, New South Wales. Pte Grimison enlisted in the second AIF in May 1941 and served in the Australian Army Service Corps (AASC) attached to Gull Force. He captured by Japanese forces on Ambon on 30 January 1942 and died of disease whilst a prisoner of war (POW) on 25 March 1945.
