An early view of the Kantara (Qantara) Control Centre, which was established by the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) after the Six Day War to observe and report breaches of the ceasefire between Egyptian and Israeli forces. Under the command of Australian observer Major Roy Skinner, Kantara was the headquarters for the United Nation Military Observers (UNMOs) on the east side of the Suez Canal.
