United Nations (UN) Field Service Staff from six countries hoist a UN flag to its final position on top of the Kantara (Qantara) Control Centre, which was establised by the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) after the Six Day War, to observe and report breaches of the ceasefire between Egyptian and Israeli forces. Two UN flags had previously been displayed on the building, however a third was raised in order to increase visibility from across the Suez Canal.
