Portrait of QX5139 (later 11189) Corporal (Cpl), John Thomas Sheppard of Deagon, Qld. Cpl Sheppard served with the 2/15 Battalion during the Second World War, and was awarded the Military Medal in February 1943. He later served with 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) in Korea, and was killed in action at Chuam-ni on the 15 February 1951.
