Description
A German Junkers Ju-87R long range Stuka dive bomber in service with I. Gruppe, Stukageschwader 2, (I./STG2) at St Malo in France in 1940. The photo came from a German camera acquired by Corporal John Sheppard, MM, whilst he was serving in the Middle East with the 2/15th Battalion. The aircraft has been fitted with long range fuel tanks on the wings, and has a white propeller spinner.
