Queens' South Africa Medal. Impressed around edge with recipient's details. There is a small hole at the top of the medal where the suspender bar (missing) would attach.
History / Summary
31044 Corporal Adolf Hoffman served in the Boer War in the Cape Colony Cyclist's Corps, between 11 February and 21 August 1901 Africa.
Raised in December 1900, the Corps was a British colonial unit that saw service as despatch riders and scouts in Cape Colony and Orange Free State during the war.
