UN Cambodia Poster
Description
United Nations poster from the UNTAC mission. Most of the text is in Khmer. Depicts men, women and a child emerging from an UNTAC office with their registration papers. The office is in a rural community, surrounded by brightly coloured grass and trees. Catlle graze in the middle ground. The man closest to the UNTAC office has an amputated leg; this is probably alluding to the extensive landmine problem in Cambodia, which has a devastating impact on rural economies. In the foreground a young man holds his registration card next to his face, urging others to register too.
