One of a series of Australian Commonwealth Military Forces Second World War recruitment posters issued under the title "JOIN THE AIF". This poster is subtitled 'How proud they'll be to pass around your snaps...' and features the graphic of two hands passing a photograph of an Australian soldier talking with Arabs. The poster appeals to the viewer to enlist in the AIF, to cultivate a sense of pride with family and friends left behind at home.The image is in black and white set against a blue background in the top two thirds of the poster with the main title and rising sun emblem printed in white beneath. The photograph featured is of an Australian Soldier of the 4th battalion and was taken for the Department of Information by photographer George Silk in Beruit, Syria in 1941. (AWM008581/05))
