History / Summary

Kelly commanded one of the two forward platoons in the final and successful attack on Gona Mission by the 39th Battalion. He discusses Honner’s plan to break into the mission, the artillery arrangements, the actual experience of his platoon in the action, the terrain and his summation of the attacks.
