History / Summary

Simonson discusses the postings of AIF reinforcement officers, the draft of Those Ragged Bloody Heroes, Major Cameron’s battle to retake Kokoda, the platoon’s defence and withdrawal from Deniki, his reaction to the mixing up of platoons, being wounded as standing patrol forward of Isurava, the return to Isurava and the training before the Kokoda campaign.
