The Blue Lake cafe at the Rest and Convalescence (R&C) centre at Old Bau for soldiers from 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR) during their tour of duty in Borneo between April and September 1966. The battalion headquarters and a reserve rifle company were stationed at Old Bau. This photograph was taken during a visit to the R&C by soldiers from A Company who were stationed at the company base at Gumbang.
