Portrait of 547 Trooper (Tpr) Frank Winterburn Kemp, 8th Light Horse Regiment, mounted on a horse. A school teacher before the war, Tpr Kemp embarked for service overseas from Melbourne aboard HMAT Star of Victoria on 25 February 1915. Tpr Kemp was killed in action at Walker's Ridge, Gallipoli, aged 30.
