Studio portrait of S5068 Stoker (ST) 2nd Class Ronald James Wixted, Royal Australian Navy (RAN), of Macleay River, NSW, wearing the tally band of the naval training base HMAS Cerberus. ST Wixted enlisted on 28 January 1941 and was killed in action on 20 November 1941 when HMAS Sydney was sunk off Geraldton, WA, by the German raider Kormoran. He was 19 years old.
