Studio portrait of 3735 Private Harold Ambrose Grant 1st Battalion of Wyndham, NSW. Son of George and Maria Grant, of Whipstick, New South Wales. A farmer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard the RMS Mooltan on 11 December 1915. He was killed in action in France on 6 May 1917, aged 28. He is buried in Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez, France.
