Studio portrait of NX10761 Gunner (Gnr) Alexander Carlyle Moffat of Lewisham, NSW. Enlisting in the Second AIF in May 1941, Gnr Moffat served in the Pacific campaign with the 2/15 Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. He was killed in action on the Malayan Peninsula during the Battle for Singapore on 3 February 1942, age 25.
