Hand coloured studio portrait of 24295 Ordinary Seaman (OS) Walter James Bath, HMAS Cerberus, RAN, of Walcha, NSW. He enlisted in Sydney, NSW on 7 May 1940. OS Bath was killed in action aboard HMAS Sydney on 20 November 1941 when the Australian light cruiser was sunk by the German merchant raider Kormoran in the Indian Ocean off Geraldton, Western Australia. He was aged 18 years.
