Studio portrait of 3100 Private (Pte) William Harrison Oriel, 59th Battalion, of Collingwood, Victoria. A carpenter prior to enlistment, Pte Oriel enlisted on 13 July 1915. He transferred to the 60th Battalion in March 1916. He was killed on the Australian parapet during the attack on Fromelles on 19 July 1916.
