Description
Studio portrait of Donald Keith Sutton. He enlisted in the Australian Army on 25 May 1954 at Eastern Command Personnel Depot at Marrickville, NSW. He was assigned the service number 2/8649 and was posted to the 105 Field Battery Royal Australian Artillery on 20 July 1955. He was later promoted to the rank of Bombardier. He embarked from Sydney for service in Malaya on 6 October 1955 aboard the MV Georgic and disembarked at George Town, Penang, on 20 October 1955. He was killed in an automobile accident on 2 August 1957 and was buried in the Kamunting Road Christian Cemetery in Taiping, Malaysia on 3 August 1957.
