Description
Souvenir program for a concert held to entertain troops returning to Australia after the First World War. This program is for a performance by No 36 Quota Concert Party aboard HMAT Port Lyttelton on Saturday 2nd August 1919. The concert featured songs, humourous items, recitations and instrumental solos. The back cover of the program shows a post-demobilisation scene. This drawing shows a soldier after enthusiastically digging with a gumtree and hut in the background and the comment 'This is THE life'.
