Studio portrait of 405483 Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Thomas Charles Hooper, 8 Squadron RAAF, of Albion Heights, Qld. Flt Sgt Hooper enlisted in Brisbane, Qld, on 31 March 1941. He was killed in action when the Beaufort aircraft of which he was a crew member, serial number A9-247, was lost on operations over New Britain after attacking shipping at Rabaul, on 9 November 1943.
