Studio portrait of 1765 Corporal (Cpl) Robert Arthur Beesley, 3rd Field Artillery Brigade, of Perth, WA. An iron moulder prior to enlisting on 17 August 1914, Cpl Beesley embarked from Fremantle on on HMAT Medic on 31 October 1914 with 8th Battery. He was killed in action at Ploegsteert, Belgium, on 1 June 1917. He was 23 years old.
