Colour studio portrait of Engineering Lieutenant (Lt) Reginald Bernard Alkin, Royal Australian Naval Reserve (RANR). Originally from Liverpool, England and a Chief Engineer with the State Shipping Company in Australia, Lt Alkin enlisted on 23 July 1940 and served on the patrol craft HMAS Kybra and at the naval base HMAS Cerberus. He died on 18 October 1941, aged 52.
