Informal outdoor portrait of 403371 Andrew Francis Peacock, RAAF, of Lake Cargelligo, NSW. A garage assistant prior to enlistment, Sergeant (Sgt) Peacock embarked for overseas service on 13 June 1941. Following training in Canada, he served in the United Kingdom. On 1 May 1942 whilst serving with 457 Squadron, RAAF, Sgt (Pilot) Peacock was killed whilst on operations over France, aged 21.
