Studio portrait of WX465 Sergeant (Sgt) Walter Albert Parsons, 2/1 Machine Gun Battalion, of of Armadale, WA. The son of Ian Hamilton Parsons and Kate Parsons and husband of Merle Agnes Parsons, Sgt Parsons enlisted on 7 Nov 1939. He was killed in action at Balikpapan, Borneo on 21 July 1945, aged 23. He is buried in the Labuan Cemetery, Section 18, Row A, Plot 9.
