Studio portrait of 422186 Pilot Officer (PO) Colin Charles Hunt, 101 Squadron, of Croydon, NSW. A bank officer prior to enlisting in the RAAF in April 1942, PO Hunt trained as a pilot in England and Canada as part of the Empire Air Training Scheme (EATS), and was posted to 101 Squadron at RAF Bircham Newton flying Lancaster bombers. PO Hunt failed to return from a raid over Germany on 15 October 1944, and was later listed as having been killed on operations. Aged 24 at the time of his death, he has no known grave.
