Studio portrait of 1231 Private (Pte) Archibald William Cameron, 32nd Battalion, of Perth, WA. He has a small dog on his lap. A railway truck porter prior to enlisting in Perth on 19 July 1915, Pte Cameron embarked from Adelaide on HMAT Geelong (A2) with D Company on 18 November 1915. He was killed in action on 20 June 1918; while part of a fatigue party taking rations to the front line near Sailly le Sec, he was hit by a shell. He was 22 years old.
