Studio portrait of 3992 Private Bernard Gordon Jones, 2nd Battalion, of Darlinghurst, NSW. A labourer prior to enlistment, Pte Jones embarked with the 12th Reinforcements from Sydney on HMAT Medic on 30 December 1915. On 5 September 1916 he was killed in action in Belgium, aged 20.
