Portrait of WX13792 Private (Pte) John Edward Ecclestone, 2/11th Battalion AIF. Pte Ecclestone was a carpenter's assistant before he enlisted at North Fremantle, WA, in May 1941. He died of illness in New Guinea on 24 January 1945, age 33 years.
