Studio portrait of 6294 Private (Pte) Tom Jones, 3rd Battalion, of Condobolin, NSW. A station hand before enlisting in March 1916, Pte Jones left Australia for England with the 20th Reinforcements in September 1916. Arriving in France in April 1917, he was only with the battalion for 12 days before he was killed at Bullecourt on 5 May 1917, aged 24. He has no known grave.
