Informal outdoor portrait of NX41044 Acting Corporal (A/Cpl) Arthur Ernest Hill, 2/3rd Infantry Battalion, of Barraba, NSW. A/Cpl Hill served in the Middle East from June 1941 through August 1942 and in New Guinea from September 1942. He died in New Guinea on 23 November 1942, aged 24, of wounds received in action.
