This is your country! Don't talk the Jap into it
Description
Australian propaganda poster discouraging careless talk about military operations. This poster employs a bucolic Australian scene and alludes to a leisure lifestyle to incite people's sense of national pride. The Japanese were demonised by propaganda as fears of an invasion ignited Australia's urgency to commit as much military force toward protecting home soil. Pictured in Warner's poster is an idyllic pastoral scene with a car/caravan winding around a country road. This would have been typical of pre-war holidaymaker activities and serves to encourage the public to work toward saving what is theirs with cautionary talk.
