Description
Informal portrait of 214099 Sergeant Eric John "Blue" Collins, a vehicle commander of A Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps, (RAAC), prepares his M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) for a possible night ambush. The vehicle has been reversed into a bamboo grove and it is armed with a .50 calibre M2 Browning heavy machine gun (mounted in the T50 turret) and a .30 calibre L3A4 Browning medium machine gun on a flexible mount. A AN/PRC 25 wireless set has also been placed on the ammunition box rack between two .30 calibre ammunition boxes (right).
