Description
An Australian Centurion Mk V/1 tank with the call sign two Alpha (2A) and informally known as 'Canned Heat', from C Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment, Royal Australian Armoured Corps, (RAAC), firing from the slopes of Courtenay Hill towards the Courtenay rubber plantation. Another Centurion is visible further down the road and in the far distance a United States Army M-48 Mine clearing tank, on loan to the Australian task force, raises the dust as it sweeps the approach road to the hill top base.
