Description

A United States Army M-48 Patton tank fitted with mine clearing rollers which has been lent to the 1 Australian Task Force occupying Courtenay Hill, which is located on the border of Phuoc Tuy Province and Long Khan Province. The vehicle has been named 'SEPTIC' in deference to its former owners, (septic tank is Australian Rhyming slang for Yank). This vehicle was used to sweep for mines along the approach roads surrounding Courtenay Hill.
