Description

Portrait of Milo, the black Labrador tracker dog who served in Vietnam with 4RAR (twice), 6RAR and 2RAR from May 1968 to November 1971. By June 1970 he had been credited with five enemy kills and was rated highly as a tracker dog. He was however, considered too playful and ill disciplined as he loved sticks and water. A long term veteran, Milo began to cringe under fire and it was decided to retire him in November 1971. He was adopted by the manager of the Chartered bank in Saigon.
