Cropped portrait of NX55259 Driver (Dvr) John Leo Bresnan, No 2 Company, Australian Army Service Corps (AASC), of Newton, NSW. Dvr Bresnan enlisted at Paddington, NSW on 28 June 1940. He was held as a Prisoner of War (POW) at Moulmein, Burma, and is presumed to have been killed at sea when the Japanese POW ship, the Rakuyo Maro, was sunk by an American submarine on the night of 12 September 1944. He was aged 32 years.
