Description
A caricature study, depicting an Australian soldier wearing the characteristic slouch hat and puttees, sitting cross-legged on the edge of a stone wall. His face is cocked to the side, and he gazes out of the corners of his eyes toward the left. With a downturned mouth and effeminate hand gestures, he eminates an air of foppish contempt. In the background is pictured a cliff-face, suggesting this character is purched on a mountain outpost.
