Shopping in the Rack Areas
Description
Depicts two French women from the local village with a horse and wagon, selling their food to four Australian soldiers. One soldier is pictured crouching filling his slouch hat with what look like potatoes. The other standing look on in anticipation. The woman in the foreground points to the box while the other looks on in trepidation. It is unclear as to the exact nature of the exchange, but there is a comical element to the illustration.
