French 75s defending Mount Rouge
Description
Depicts 7 French 75 mm guns along a ridge pointing up a mountain (which is referenced in the title as Mt Rouge). Three to five gunners are depicted with each 75 mm gun and a commander stands just to the side of the formation. A road meanders along the side of the mountain below. In the lower centre, in a crevice of the hillside, is a bunker. The landscape appears largely undamaged by bombs, suggesting that this is new territory about to be fought over.
