Studio portrait of NX43693 Private (Pte) Ronald Gilmour of Guyra, NSW. A farmer and grazier before enlisting in the Second AIF in August 1941, Pte Gilmour served in the Middle East with the 2/24 Battalion. He was killed in action at El Alamein on 14 July 1942, aged 28.
