Studio portrait of PA/4712 Stoker David Walter Perry who was an 18 year old fitter and turner from Hazelwood Park, South Australia when he joined the Royal Australian Navy on 19 June 1944. He was serving at HMAS Torrens (shore establishment in Adelaide) when he was demobilised on 21 October 1946. One of 86 photographs displayed on an honour board showing members of the Adelaide Rowing Club who enlisted for active service in the Second World War. The original is held by the Adelaide Rowing Club who kindly loaned the board to the Australian War Memorial for copying.
