Studio portrait of 283376 Squadron Leader James Sarre Lord who was born on 3 October 1900 and served in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) until 8 October 1946. He was Mentioned in Despatches (MID) for his actions during the war. One of 86 photographs displayed on an honour board showing members of the Adelaide Rowing Club who enlisted for active service in the Second World War. The original is held by the Adelaide Rowing Club who kindly loaned the board to the Australian War Memorial for copying.
