Studio portrait of SX1459 Lieutenant Edward Percival Cherry who was a 25 year old from Alberton, South Australia when he joined the Army on 8 December 1939. He was a Lieutenant Colonel serving with the 2/14 Field Regiment when he was demobilised on 7 January 1946. One of 86 photographs displayed on an honour board showing members of the Adelaide Rowing Club who enlisted for active service in the Second World War. The original is held by the Adelaide Rowing Club who kindly loaned the board to the Australian War Memorial for copying.
