Studio portrait of SX20141 Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) Alan Keith Buttrose who was a 26 year old clerk from Glenelg, South Australia when he joined the Army on 22 June 1942. He served in the Northern Territory and was demobilised on 8 February 1946. One of 86 photographs displayed on an honour board showing members of the Adelaide Rowing Club who enlisted for active service in the Second World War. The original is held by the Adelaide Rowing Club who kindly loaned the board to the Australian War Memorial for copying.
