Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX66013 Private Thomas 'Tommy' Frederick Thwaites, 2/10 Australian Ordinance Workshop. Collection consists of a typed memoir titled "Bloody Hell! Memoirs of a P.O.W. Singapore 1942 - 1945" by Pte Thwaites. The manuscript talks about war life leading up to the fall of Singapore, his time at Changi including working on the Burma Railway and in the hospital and then the war ending.
