Studio portrait of 4326 Private (Pte) George Henry Morris, 32nd Battalion. A farm labourer of Second Valley, South Australia, prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 11th Reinforcements from Adelaide on 7 November 1916 aboard HMAT Afric (A19) for Plymouth, England. After training with the 8th Training Battalion he joined his battalion on the Western Front near Bapaume. Pte Morris was killed in action near Warneton, France, on 6 February 1918. He was aged 27 years.
