Studio portrait of N12767 Sapper (Spr) Milton Henry Ellicott, 1st Field Company Engineers, of Mayfield East, NSW. Spr Ellicott enlisted on 27 August 1940. He died in Australia on 18 September 1942 as a result of an accident. He was 21 years of age. Spr Ellicott's father 71 Corporal Harold Ellicott, 35th Battalion was awarded the Military Medal (MM) in 1918. His uncle, Sergeant Kenneth Ellicott, 35th Battalion, was killed at Villers-Bretonneux on 4 April 1918.
